Results Accuracy

Learn about Rythm’s testing accuracy, reliability, and factors affecting results.

Written by Tiffany

Accuracy is our top priority at Rythm.

Our blood samples are processed in a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory using validated testing methods and FDA-cleared laboratory instruments.

Rythm also uses the FDA-cleared Tasso+ collection device to collect a capillary blood sample.

Together, our collection process, laboratory methods, and quality controls are designed to provide reliable results for the biomarkers included in our panel.

What Can Affect My Results?

Just like a traditional blood test, your biomarkers can naturally fluctuate.

Factors that may influence results include:

  • Fasting status and recent meals

  • Hydration

  • Exercise

  • Sleep

  • Stress

  • Illness and recovery

  • Medications and supplements

  • Alcohol use

  • Menstrual cycle

  • Time of day

Following the collection instructions and testing under similar conditions each time can make your results easier to compare.

Comparing Rythm With a Venous Blood Test

Some subscribers choose to compare their Rythm results with traditional venous testing.

Timing matters when making that comparison. Biomarkers can change from one day, or even one part of the day, to another.

For the closest comparison, samples should ideally be collected within approximately one hour of each other while keeping fasting status, hydration, time of day, and other collection conditions as similar as possible.

Results collected days or weeks apart aren’t necessarily a direct comparison.

If you ever have concerns about a significant discrepancy, our support team can help coordinate a review with our laboratory team.
